In the grand space of the internet, there's a world of countless webzines to follow. I was aware of that when JDW first started out and I still am but what makes any site special to me is its purpose and if it differs from the other sites. We decided to specialize on true art, the origin of art and the honest artist behind their artwork.
I haven't studied journalism or web graphics, I don't know a shit about being a reporter therefore I might be uncomfortable, shy or incorrect and I don't know if the bands I interview or talk to even like me. I do things the way I like, the way I think they're done the best and even if my site layouts aren't good enough, my ideas aren't good enough or my questions aren't good enough, I luckily have awesome freelancers and photographers working with us. They create amazing content and I get to work with bands who are smart enough to form amazing answers. I don't know if I'm any good, but I'd like to think that the output on this site is good. I hope it's as honest and interesting as it's supposed to be and that the spirit of the artists reflect on our interviews, if not in an obvious way then maybe even just a little bit.
Thank you to every management of the bands and organizations that we've worked with and to the people who have kept us informed; Miikka Koskela from RL Entertainment, Jesse from the Anti Flag Organisation, Miika "Mega" Kuusinen from Supersounds Music, Johannes Kinnunen from Fullsteam Records & Fullsteam Agency, Katja Vauhkonen from Sony Music, Adam Samiljan from Fueled By Ramen and To Write Love On Her Arms in general.
