Tegan and Sara stay true to being unique.
Tegan & Sara's sold out their first ever set of books. "We are so proud of these books and have poured our hearts into them", the girls say at their official site. "We really think they are something that you will love."
On the official site the girls say that to them it's almost as important as the record. Putting the book together took them almost a year.
The first book is called ON and it's about touring in America. IN is an in depth look at Tegan and Sara's trip to New Orleans to write music together. AT explores their last tour in support of The Con which took place in Australia and gives each of the 5 band members the chance to share their experiences through journals and photos. The girls however point out that the books are not so much about the places they've been in; they're about Tegan & Sara.
Every deluxe bundle with "ON IN AT" and "Sainthood" CD has a handmade ink blot signed by Tegan and Sara and the actual clothes pin that held it on the line to dry. Isn't it special?
In the Making Of Ink Blots -video Sara shows off her favorite ink blot creation. "This is my favorite one that I did, it's Alfred Hitchcock", she says. "And I thought it was especially cool because the whole theme of the second book IN is all Alfred Hitchcock movie posters. So I thought it was pretty strange that in all of these bazillions of ink blots Alfred appeared himself in one of them. In my ink blot."
